Ike was born in Big Spring to Paul Love and Ruby Lee Wasson on December 29, 1943.
He attended Sands High School in Ackerly.
Ike married the love of his life, Wanda Armstrong on May 10, 1970. She preceded him in death in 2007.
Ike was retired from the Big Spring Fire Department.
Survivors include a son Caleb Wasson of San Angelo; a sister Lynda Dunsmuir and husband Peter of Napa, California; two sons and two daughters by marriage; Wendell Armstrong and fiance Marisa Adams, David and wife Sheila Armstrong, Debbie and husband Terry Chamness, Millie Armstrong and fiance Victor Victor Hutchinson, all of Big Spring. Ike had 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents, two brothers Ronald Wasson, Paul Wasson and one son John B. Armstrong.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
