This family spent a great portion of time in the town of Malakoff, Henderson County. The exact site of burial for John Seton is not known but the town of Malakoff was chosen for this memorial since it was their home for a time.
We have not found the exact time nor place of his death. The last known communication was a telegram (dated 1901) to James Monroe Knutson,(his son) in Athens, Henderson County, Texas, from an unknown person to the effect that his father was dying.
