She was born April 29, 1887 in Fort Madison, Ia., the daughter of John and Nancy Whetzel Kile. She married Rev. Mr. MacWherter June 10, 1891.
She leaves two sons, John E. MacWherter of Springfield, a former official of the Springfield Brownies baseball club and Kile MacWherter,former Decatur high school coach, now of Martinsville, Il.; daughter, Mrs. E.B. Van Ordstrand of Columbus, Ohio; sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Pease of Central City, Nebraska.
