RITES FRIDAY FOR A NATIVE OF TOWNSHIP
Mrs. Peter Burr Dies at Her Home Here This Wednesday Morning
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 9:00 a.m. from St. Mary's church for Mrs. Peter Burr, native of Jefferson township who died at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday following an illness of several years. The services will be in charge of Rev. J. A. Dupont and burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery.
Born on Farm
Born March 11, 1877, Mrs. Burr was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Kann. She was born on a farm in Jefferson township and had spent her entire life in this community. On February 8, 1899, she was married to Peter Burr and to this union were born five children of whom three survive.
Survivors include two daughters Mrs. Carl Berns of Elkader, Olive of Guttenberg and William of Guttenberg. Brothers and sisters surviving include Hubert Kann of Westwego, Louisiana; Gottfried Kann of Guttenberg, Henry Kann of Guttenberg, Mrs. Anna Powers of Guttenberg and Mrs. Mary Wulfekuhl of Guttenberg.
A number of grandchildren also survive including Marie, Elmer, Wilbert, Leona, Donald, Vera Mae and James Berns and Patrick Burr. Two children, Frederick and Marie, died in infancy.
Pallbearers for the services on Friday will be Herbert, Clarence, Raymond, William, Carl and Harold Kann.
