JAMES WILLIAM SHORES
Funeral services for James W. Shores were Friday at the Fillmore Methodist church. Rev. Hugo Rolens officiated with interment in Fillmore cemetery.
James William Shores, son of John and Eleanor Shores, was born near Fillmore, Nov. 20, 1875 and died at Oregon, Nov. 12, 1963.
He was survived by six daughters, Mrs. Ella Hughes and Mrs. Neal Turner, Oregon; Mrs. Ethel Hortt, DeRidder, La.; Mrs. Cheyenne Painter, Gladewater, Texas; Mrs. Dayton Murphy, Nebraska City, Neb.; and Mrs. Lillian Palmer, Rea; four sons, John, St. Joseph; James F., Mound City; Caryle, Kilgore, Texas, and Edward, Oregon; a sister, Mrs. Florence Cantrell, St. Joseph; 21 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
