Unfortunately, all their plans and dreams did not materialize, as shortly after the birth of this little girl, Grandpa Bick died and was returned back to MO for burial. Grandma accompanied the body on this trip, along with her little children. Her parents were still living on their farm near St. Patrick, and Grandma returned to live with them. After they passed away, Uncle Walter inherited the farm and made a home there for his sister and her children and continued to farm there until his death.
