Mrs. Annie Elizabeth Hemler, 73, wife of Martin Hemler, Main street, McSherrystown, died Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from a heart attack suffered Monday. She was a daughter of the late David and Harriet Lawrence. She was married May 1, 1883. Mrs. Hemler was a member of the Arch Confraternity of Passion of St. Mary's Catholic church, McSherrystown. Surviving are her husband and seven children: Mrs. Leo A. Sneeringer, Washington D.C.; Mrs. William Groft and George Hemler, McSherrystown; Regina, Eileen, Mildred and Herbert, at home; thirteen grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Vincent Myers; and a brother, Joseph Lawrence, Conewago township. Funeral Friday morning at nine o'clock, with solemn high mass in St. Mary's Catholic Church, McSherrystown. The Rev. F.X. Feeser will be the celebrant. Burial will be made in St. Mary's cemetery.
