Worked for the Shreveport Journal and KWKH Radio, then for Delta Air Lines as a stewardess, where she was noticed for her looks and demeanor for a role in the 1947 Jimmie Davis film "Louisiana." Other films in which she had roles were "Song of the Wasteland" (1947) and "Campus Sleuth" (1948). Her career petered out after that, and she married and settled into a life of civic works and charity. She was the sister of Shreveport attorney and civic leader Algie D. Brown.
