A native of Kirkwood, Illinois, Mrs. Devore was born April 1, 1894, the daughter of Thomas and Jesse Smith Callahan.
She is survived by her husband, Earl Devore, and six sons and two daughters: Warren Devore, Burlington; John Devore, Biloxi, Mississippi; Vernon, James and George Devore, Wapello; Robert Devore, at home; Mrs. Helen Foster, Aberdeen, Washington, and Mrs. Mollie Banion (sic: O'Banion), of Davenport.
Also surviving are a brother and a sister, Dale Callahan and Mrs. R. T. Dotson, both of Wapello and 19 grandchildren. A brother and a sister died previously.
The body is at the Dudgeon funeral home.
