Truly a sad life story:
Helen Louise Kuhn (daughter of Daniel G. Kuhn, Jr. and Ella Kraft) was married to Ferdinand "Fred" Kaucher (son of Edward John Kaucher and Mary Margaret Maushart) on 03 Jun 1931 at Hamilton County, OH.
Her husband answered his country's call and joined the U.S. Army during World War II. While he was away fighting in Europe in 1942, Helen's father took his own life.
Around Christmas of 1944, Helen received word that her husband had been killed in combat in Germany, while commanding a Sherman tank during the Battle of Hürtgen Forest.
Helen was remarried 10 Sep 1949 to Howard L. Nelson (son of Arthur Nelson and Minnie Seaholm) at Hamilton County, Ohio. Tragically, Howard turned a shotgun on himself and took his own life on 29 Oct 1950 in the yard of their home, a little over one year after their marriage.
Helen was remarried to John Blomer in October of 1968 at Broward County, FL. She passed away on 25 Nov 1994 at Broward County, FL at the age of 92.
