Immigrated to the US arriving as Marie Michie, Quebec, Canada, on the S.S. Scandinavian 5 July 1914 and crossing the border in the company of her brother Adam's wife Elizabeth Fuquhar Michie and nephews Adam and James Alexander Michie. Brother Adam was an auto worker in Detroit.
Mary was not the first Michie marrying into the Glennie family to end up in Montana. Her paternal aunt, also a Mary Michie, married a James Glennie in Scotland and after being widowed came to Montana to join her son, George M. Glennie. Said George M. Glennie was first cousin to Mary's husband, George Glennie above.
Mary and George were ranchers in Wheatland County, Montana.
