This is my grandfather, husband to Jackie and father of five boys. Born in Shuqualak, Miss., he was one of 22 children. In his latter teens,he relocated to Chicago where he renewed an acquaintance with Jackie Lindsey whom he knew from Mississippi and they married shortly thereafter. Milton was a hard worker for his wife and boys.

The things that I remember most about my grandfather was that he was a great listener and very compassionate. He once told me that the young can learn from the old but also the old can learn from the young. I also found it very interesting that though my grandfather was born and raised in the South he did not have a southern accent when I knew him. I consider my grandfather a hero. He spent most of his retirement years caring for his beloved wife, Jackie who was stricken with Alzheimer's disease.

A hearfelt thank you to SSBJಌ for her sponsorship of my beloved granddad's memorial. You are so kind.
