Mrs. Pullen of Hatley Passes
Mrs. M.A. Pullen of Hatley, known as "Grandma" Pullen, passed to her reward early last Friday morning after a lingering illness. Interment was in Hatley cemetery Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, where a short funeral service was conducted by the Rev. J.H. Hardwick of the Methodist church of Burnsville.
Mrs. Pullen who was 70 years of age, bore her infirmities with great fortitude, was appreciative of those who ministered at her bedside, and always demonstrated a gentleness of disposition which characertized her life, from girlhood.
The deceased is survived by daughters, Mrs. L.M. Fuqua, Mrs. W.J. Nash, Mrs. J.A. Gibson, Mrs. A.L. Baker, Mrs. John Fitzpatrick; sons R.E. Pullen, W.G. Pullen, W.G. Pullen, N.G. Pullen, and N.C. Pullen, of the same vicinity and R.A. Pullen of Aberdeen, chancery clerk of Monroe County.
