William Johnson was born in Harrison County, Ohio, September 15, 1818. He was married to Hannah Doll about the year 1838. To this union was given fourteen children, eleven of whom, with the wife, preceded him to the tomb. He departed this life August 26, 1894, aged seventy-five years, eleven months and eleven days -- an aged man of neither father, mother, brother, sister, uncle or aunt living.
His remains were intered at the Union Chapel cemetery in Grant County. The services were conducted by the writer.
