Sarah died in 1887 and was buried at Long Creek Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery, Dallas, Gaston Co., NC.
Ephraim seems to have had two other marriages, but does not appear to have had children in those marriages.
His second wife was Anna Elizabeth "Bettie" Etters daughter of Sam Etters and Nancy Teeterpaw. She was born in 1852, died in 1914 and was buried in Hollywood Cemetery, also. They married about 1888.
His third wife was Linda J. (unknown), born about 1862.
The 1900 census shows that Ephraim and "Elizabeth" had been married 12 years. The youngest child in the household was 14 years old, so all the children were Sarah Stroup's.
In the 1920 census 71 year old Ephraim was married to 58 year old Linda Tritt. The informant on his NC death certificate was Mrs. Lundy Tritt.
