Nora was the daughter of Lee Olen and Agnes Lorene (Long) Tolbert. She graduated from McAlester High School. She married Clifford Dale Beasley on Nov. 22, 1967, in McAlester. She was the owner and operator of Beasley's Answering Service in Krebs for 28 years, before closing in 2005. She was a former member of the McAlester Chamber of Commerce, she served as past president and treasurer of the PTA of McAlester and she was also a past Girl Scout leader for the Tiak Counsel. She was of the Baptist faith. She passed away at her home in McAlester at the age of 63. Survivors include her husband, Clifford Beasley, of Krebs; her mother, Agnes Tolbert, of McAlester; two daughters and sons-in-law, Deanna and Mike Sexton, of Kiowa, and Serena and Mark Johnston, of McAlester; a grandson, Clifford Walt Sexton and wife, Karon, of Arpelar; six granddaughters, Marci Stephen and husband, Chance, of Kiowa, Megan Hiser, of McAlester, Audrey Johnston, of McAlester, Shandi Johnston, of McAlester, Leighanne Johnston, of McAlester, and Taylor Johnston, of Atoka; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Virginia Whinery, of McAlester; two brothers-in-law and spouses, Johnny and Gwen Beasley, of Luther, and Don and Pat Beasley, of Noble; three sisters-in-law and spouses, Louise and Dewayne Hoffman, of McAlester, Patsy and Loren Bohnsack, Bluegrass, Iowa, and Helen and David Deputy, of McAlester; numerous nieces, nephews and friends, including special friend, Melba Rice, of Krebs. She was preceded in death by her father, Lee Tolbert, on Sept. 13, 1958, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, 2011, at Bishop Chapel of Memories with the Rev. James Crowson officiating. Burial will be at Chamber Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service of McAlester. Pallbearers will be Lawrence Whinery Jr., Brandon Clark, Russell Clark, Eric Clark, Shawn Johnson and Kelvin Johnston. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Johnston and Mike Sexton.
