CIVIL WAR VETERAN of THE UNION ARMY,

Private, Company G, 19th Kentucky Infantry, Union Army, Enlisted January 2, 1862. On roll as AWOL in June 1863. Had been hospitalized(sick) from April 1863 at Richmond, LA., Grand Gulf, MS., and St. Louis, MO., rejoining the Regiment in January 1864. MIA at Sabine Cross Roads, LA. on April 8, 1864, captured at the battle of Mansfield, LA. POW at Tyler, TX. from April until October 1864. Paroled at Red River Landing, LA. on October 23, 1864. Mustered out on January 26, 1865 at Louisville, Kentucky.
