There is a discrepancy on her date of birth, either February 2, 1838 or Nov. 5, 1838. Before 1862, she was married in Tiefenbach, Germany to Nikolaus Kraemer, a cigar maker. On June 25, 1862, they immigrated to America, arriving at the Port of New York. In St. Cloud, Minnesota, they had at least 6 children: Anna, Katie, Louise, Mary, Nicholas Michael, and Lena. All but Anna moved to Los Angeles after 1891.
