Johnny Joe Olson, 15, of China Spring drowned Sunday at Lofers Bend on Lake Whitney in Hill County.
Services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church of China Spring, the Rev. John P. Carroll officiating. Burial will be at China Spring Cemetery.
Mr. Olson was born June 4, 1971 in Water Valley, Mississippi, the son of Billy Joe and Therisa Campbell Olson. He was a member of the varsity football team at China Spring High School and had lived in China Spring for 4 1/2 years.
Survivors include his parents; two brothers, Bobby Joe Olson and Billy Joe Olson, Jr. both of China Spring; and his grandmothers, Mrs. Odis H. Campbell and Mrs. Jamie Maynor, both of Water Valley, Miss.
Marshall and Marshall Funeral Home of Whitney is in charge of arrangements.
