DIES HERE;
RITES FRIDAY
Funeral services will be held Friday at 3 p.m. for Dixie Louise Wright, 18, a freshman at Eastern New Mexico University who died today after a two-week illness.
Miss Wright graduated from Carlsbad high school in 1958 and was a member of the Future Teachers and Girls Athletic Association. She became ill at Eastern New Mexico two weeks ago and died in a local hospital today.
Survivors include her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R.T. Wright, 1402 W. Greene; two brothers, Richard and John, and three sisters, Susan, Sarah and Cindy, all of Carlsbad.
The Rev. James Overton, Cavern Baptist Church, will conduct the services.
Miss Wright was born Jan. 7, 1941 in Bayard, Tex. She had been a Carlsbad resident for 10 years.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Lee, V.L. Garner, A.D. Belk, Ray Sutphen, Stanley Hall and George Biggs.
