Paul J. Aiken, 74, Altoona, died Sat., April 9, 2011 at Altoona Hospital. He was born in Altoona to Raphael & Marie (Sell) Aiken. He married the former Judy St. John on Nov. 18, 1961. Survived by wife; daughters: Michele Tyson & husband, Jim; Denise Aiken; Karen Bassler & husband, Allan; Krista Beach & husband, Bill; and Vicki Litzinger & husband, Pat; son, Paul R. Aiken & wife, Maria; grandchildren: Emily and Gabry Tyson, Raphael 'R.J.' and Helena Bassler, Kayla and Brody Beach, Braylon Litzinger and Noah and Evalyna Aiken; sister, Eleanor Gill, of Jacksonville, FL and brothers: Richard, of Hollidaysburg, and Robert and James, both of Altoona. Predeceased by sister, Suzanne and 3 brothers: Terrance F., Sr., Ronnie, and an infant brother, twin of Robert. He was a 1955 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School and a partner with R.P. Aiken & Sons, Electrical Contractors. Paul retired as a major after 28 years of service with the PA Army National Guard. Member, Bavarian Aide Society; Heidelberg Country Club and Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Sorge Funeral Home, Hollidaysburg. Committal, Calvary Cemetery with full military honors by Indiantown Gap National Guard Honor Detail and Blair County Veterans Honor Guard.
