Ross O. Stone, 92, of Henry, formerly of Warrensburg, died 8:31 p.m. Saturday (April 30, 1994) in his home. Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in Illini Cemetery, Warrensburg. There will be no visitation. Ries-McKitrick and Newton Mortuary, Henry, is in charge of arrangements. Memorials: The Salvation Army.
Mr. Stone was born March 31, 1902, in Warrensburg, the son of Ira and Fannie Weaver Stone. He was an electrician for A.E. Staley Mfg. Co. for 41 years, retiring in 1965. He married Golda Shephard on Dec. 31, 1924 in Springfield.
Surviving are his wife: sons, Ted of Decatur; Don of Dallas, Texas; daughters, Sandra Demo-ray of Centerville, Ohio; Norma Miller of Henry; sister, Verna Shephard of La Verne, Calif.; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and four sisters.
