Daniel Grimes, 65, Woodstock, died Saturday, December 2. Mr. Grimes as born July 16, 1924 in Polk County. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Barbara Grimes, Woodstock; two daughters, Denise Flannery, Alexandria, Virginia; and Mrs. Alena Rice, Woodstock; three sons, Larry Grimes, Gadsden, Ala; Dan Grimes, Bloomington, Minn., and David Flannery, Northfolk, Virginia; one sister, Mrs. Frances Landers, Cedartown. Four grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were held Monday, December 4, at 11 a.m. in the Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Chapel of Kennesaw with the Rev. Stanley Wilkins officiating. Interment followed in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Cedartown at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Mack Moore officiating. (Cedartown Standard, 12/07/1989)
