Edna "Pat" Smith left this world to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 29, 2011. She was born on May 23, 1920 in Elkhart, Tx. With the loss of her Mother and Father by the age of seven, she lived with sisters and brothers. Her young years were spent in Plainview with her sister and her teenage years were spent with her brother and his wife, John and Fritz Gunnels.
She married Eldridge "Pete" Smith on November 18, 1939. She retired from Southmore Hospital
and moved to Bandera in 1985. She was a devout member of the First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son and his wife Gene and Patti Smith of Pipe Creek and her daughter and son-in-law Glenda and Ed Dromgoole of Joaquin, Texas.
She is survived by grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Her special friends were always in her prayers.
Thanks to all her friends that took her to church and visited her. Special thanks to all the staff at Cedar Creek Nursing Home for their care "over and above" the standard.
