Obituary: MUNCIE--Harold Ray Estep, 77, passed away Saturday morning in Ball Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Yorktown on March 4, 1926, the son of William and Mildred Estep.
Mr. Estep was a gear cutter at Warner Gear (now BorgWarner) before his retirement in 1975. He was a member of the Northside Church of God and the Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 56 years, Louise; two sons, Steven (wife-Wendy), Independence, MO, and Ted (wife-Cathy), Muncie; two sisters, Martha Driscoll (husband-Max) and Pat Berg, both of Muncie; two brothers, William Estep (wife-Alice), Muncie, and Dick Estep (wife-Clara Belle), Yorktown; seven grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
The clock of life is wound but once and no man has the power to tell just when the hands will stop at late or early hour. Now is the only time you own, live, love, toil with a will. Place no faith in tomorrow, the hands may then be still.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Garden View Funeral Home. Burial will take place in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at Garden View Funeral Home. Masonic services will be provided by the Daleville Masonic Lodge 730. Memorials may be directed to the Northside Church of God, 1505 N. Tillotson Ave., Muncie, IN 47304.
