Ferdinand Fredrick Boehnke, was born March 18, 1872, at West Prussia, Germany. He came to America with his parents at theage of 12. He was baptized in Germany and was confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church on May 2, 1890. On Oct. 15, 1897, he was married to Martha Ziesmer at St. John's church.
Mr. Boehnke held may church offices, also directorships in the Ventura Elevator, Ventura Creamery and the Hancock County Co-op Oil Assn. He farmed near Ventura, until retiring to a home in Ventura 35 years ago. For the past on and one-half years he has made his home with his son Theodore.
Surviving are; one son, Theodore, Ventura; four daughters; Mrs. H. J. (Emma) Pueggle; Mrs Emil (Olga) Ollenburgh; Mrs. Edward (Martha) Jass, and Mrs. H. L. (Ruth) Ollenburg; two sisters, Mrs. Wlilliam (Alvilna) Pueggle, and Mrs. W. E. (Emma) Bohn. Thirteen grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren also survived.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha, one son, four brothers and two sisters.
