Mrs. Grace Collins, 77, 1508 Twentieth Street, died at 8:15 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, 1979, at her residence. She had been in failing health for three years.

Born April 20, 1902, in Kentucky, to Millard and Martha Jordan Hopson, she married John Collins December 2, 1920. He preceded her in death on May 22, 1947.

Mrs. Collins was retired as operator of the Maple Leaf Motel, Hwy. 50 East, and later as a real estate salesperson.

Surviving are one son, Dale Collins, Zionsville, IN; one daughter, Mrs. Opal Bagby, Paoli, IN; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one brother, Millard Hopson, Indianapolis.

She was a member of the First Christian Church, the Business and Professional Women's Club, The Little Theatre of Bedford and the Lawrence County Art Association.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Elmwood Chapel, Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery at Plainfield, IN. Friends may call at the mortuary after 2 p.m. Thursday. The family will be at the mortuary between the hours of 4 and 8 p.m. Thursday.
