HAYSVILLE - Burnett, W. S. "Bill", 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thur., March 12th, from complications of pneumonia. Visitation Sun. 1-8 and Mon. 10-8 with family present from 5-7 on Mon at Smith Mortuary - Haysville. Funeral Service Tue. March 17th, 10:00 AM at the Haysville United Methodist Church. Born November 19, 1922 in Wetumka, OK, Bill is a World War II Veteran, Graduate of Southwestern College and retired teacher and administrator from Haysville and Derby public schools. Preceded in death by parents Charlie and Dovie Burnett. Survived by Martha, loving wife of 59 years, sons Bruce (Terry) Burnett of Derby, KS and Sam (Sue) Burnett of League City, TX. Grandchildren Kelly Burnett, Kris (Jim) Adams, Josh Burnett and Ashle (Jamie) Stratton. Great-grandchildren: Alexis Burnett, and Trinity and Tripp Stratton.
