Research by Dawn Comstock:
According to the veterans home records in
Marion, he was born in Greencastle, Franklin Co., PA. He likely died at home
with his 3rd wife Nancy as he was discharged from the Vet. home 4 days before he
died. The 1900 fed. census shows they lived in Chester, Wabash co., IN so he
died in Wabash Co. at least.
He 1st married Sarah Crum in 1859 Wabash Co., IN (Memorial# 32598431). His 2nd
wife was Sarah Parrett (widowed from Francis Swihart) in 1880 Wabash Co., IN.
Lastly he married Nancy Jane Quinn (widowed from George Washington Crisman) in
1895 Wabash Co., IN.
His first 2 wives are bured at Pleasant Grove, and the husband of his 3rd wife.
Jonathon and his 3rd wife Nancy are not listed as having stones in the 1969
cemetery lists. I would assume they are both buried in Pleasant Grove but
without stones it is hard to know where. There are two small plain stones near
George Crisman and a daughter Melissa.
