Carol Lynn Hillard was born May 26, 1950, at Saint Francis Hospital, in Lynwood, Los Angeles County, California, the daughter of Elma Carol Kastner (1920-2011) and Don Reh Hillard (1920-__).
Carol graduated with honors from El Molino High School, Forestville, California, in 1968, majoring in Business Administration. She gave the Commencement speech at her High School graduation. Carol then moved to Hawaii where she was employed as a secretary to a bank official.
On March 20, 1970, Carol Lynn Hillard and Paul E. Doyle were married at the Waialua Christian Church in Waialua, Hawaii. Carol and Paul were divorced in August 1972 and somehow again in January 1975, Sonoma County, California.
On December 18, 1976, Carol Lynn Hillard and Charles Duane Dunn were married on the shore of Lake Tahoe at Zephyr Cove, Douglas County, Nevada. They later had a formal ceremony on March 5, 1977, at the Hexagon Lodge in Guerneville, California. Carol and Charles were divorced on June 24, 1983 in Sonoma County, California.
Carol was employed as Loan Officer and Branch Manager for Sacramento & Gibraltar Savings and Loan Association for six years. She was also employed by Macro Concepts as a Computer Consultant and Programmer installing systems for mortgage and banking concerns throughout the United States.
On January 1, 1996, Carol and Samuel K. Watson were married in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Survived by husband Sam Watson of Mountain Ranch, California; father Don Hillard of Forestville; brother Stephen Hillard of Santa Rosa; and nephew Christopher Hillard of Arizona. Her mother, Elma Hillard, passed away February 19, 2011. Pre-deceased by brother Ken Hillard in 1999.

After graduating from El Molino high, she lived for several years in Honolulu. She returned to Sonoma County and worked for many years in the mortgage banking field as a loan underwriter. She enjoyed travel to Europe, Hawaii, New Zealand and much of the U.S.
On January 1, 1996 she married Sam Watson in Santa Fe, New Mexico. They moved to Calaveras County in 2007. At her request, no services were held. Cremation by Neptune Society.
