James E. Roberts
Services for James E. Roberts, 74, of Mabank are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Eubank Memorial Chapel with the Revs. Charles Davis and Steve Ballard officiating.

Burial will follow with military honors are Morrow Chapel Cemetery in Ola under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home of Mabank.

Mr. Roberts died March 29, 2002, in Dallas.

He was born Nov. 24, 1927, in Kaufman.

Mr. Roberts worked at the Auto Parts Exchange in Dallas. He retired in 1978.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during World War II.

Previously of Balch Springs, he lived in Mabank for 20 years.

He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars post in Seven Points.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar P. Roberts and Alma Smith Roberts.

Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra Roberts of Mabank, Debbie and Dan Storey of Terrell, Reba and Larry Baker of Terrell, Penny and Brady Furrh of Mesquite and Victoria and David Hays of Mabank; son, Timothy Roberts of Bonham; brothers, Harvey Roberts of Maypearl and Robby Roberts of Terrell; sister, Lois Whitaker of Fruitvale; sisters-in-law, Lorine Autry of Seagoville and JoeAnn Clifford of Mabank; girlfriend, Dorothy Kines; and 13 grandchildren.
