KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Donna Radford Alexander, 72, of Kansas City, Missouri, formerly of Frontenac, died at 11:11 A.M. Thursday, March 17, 2011 at Kansas City Hospice House after a long illness.
Mrs. Alexander was born on the 11th day of the 11th month, 1938 at Mulberry, Kansas the 11th child of Glen and Edith Adkins Radford.
Donna for most of her life was a homemaker and stay at home Mom.
She was raised in Mulberry and graduated from Mulberry High School.
She married Robert Alexander on December 18, 1955 at Mulberry, Kansas.
Donna is survived by Bob of Blue Springs, Missouri, her two daughters, Janet Hamilton who provided for her care and husband Rodger of Kansas City, Missouri and Pam Kile and husband David of Greenwood, Missouri, a son, Steve Alexander and his wife Khadija of Kansas City, Missouri, six grandchildren, Michelle Hamilton, Seth Rollins, Sarah Rollins, Michael Kile, Amir Alexander, and Ryan Alexander, three great grandchildren, Boston Rollins, Owen Rollins, and Corbin Hamilton, a step-granddaughter, Katie Hamilton, four sisters, Jean Sumpter of Pittsburg, May Gottwalt of East Moline, Illinois, Lois Napier of Arma, and Evelyn Gentile of Ozark, Missouri, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Glen and Bill Radford, and five sisters, Lepha Allen, Reba Stwalley, June Hamilton, Shirley DeMaire, and Mary Wyatt.
Funeral services will be at 11 A.M. Monday, March 21, 2011 at the Bedene Funeral Home at Arma with Father Larry Parker officiating.
Burial will be at the Rosebank Cemetery at Mulberry, Kansas.
The family will receive friends 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. Monday at the Bedene Chapel prior to services.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers contributions to KC Hospice House, 1200 Wornall, Kansas City, Missouri 64145 or Platte Senior Services, 11724 N Plaza Circle Drive, Suite 700, Kansas City, Missouri 64153.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Bedene Funeral Home, 517 E. Washington, Box 621, Arma, Kansas 66712.
