Johnnie Wilma (Mama Jo) Heckman, 86, claimed Jesus' holy covenant on January 5, 2011. A selfless child of God, she was born May 31, 1924 in Centre, Alabama.

Mama Jo was predeceased by beloved husband Maurice Heckman; parents Robert and Vandora Guice; siblings Bessie, Estelle, Iva Jo, James, Willard and Robert Jr. (RL).

Mama Jo is survived by children/spouses: Carl and Cynthia Heckman, Ronald and Beth Heckman, Mark and Maria Heckman, JoAnna and Roy Jackson Jr.; grandchildren Jennifer, Peter, Kimberley, Andrew, Ashley, Roy III, Taylor; great grandchildren Allie, Parker, Kensley, Ruby, Milla, Ilaria, Lila; sister Imogene Curry; sisters in law Helen Guice, Wilma Guice and Ann Guice; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

The few things Mama Jo did for herself rest with her, the multitude she did for others will be celebrated forever. Visitation 11-12:30PM Saturday, Jan 8, 2011 Horis A. Ward- Stone Mountain Chapel, Rockbridge Rd at Five Forks Trickum Rd, followed by interment, Floral Hills Cemetery. Memorial Service 2PM, Jan 8, 2011, Eastminster Presbyterian Church, 5801 Hugh Howell Road, Stone Mountain, GA. Pastors Caleb Clarke III and John Allen, officiating, followed by reception.
