Stroke Ends Fatally for Ohio Township Woman, Former E'town Resident.
Mrs. Lola Jane Barker, 68, wife of Charles Barker, died at 9 o'clock Sunday morning at her home in Ohio township. She suffered a stroke of paralysis a little over a week ago and had been in a serious condition.
She spent practically all of her life in this county and before moving to a farm near Ogilville, she and Mr. Barker resided at Elizabethtown.
She was the mother of four children, all of whom survive with the husband. They are Jerome Barker of Anderson, Ernest Barker of Columbus, Mrs. Ada Shattuck of Elizabethtown and Mrs. Anna Libby of Anderson. Ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, a brother and seven sisters also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Elizabethtown Christian church, with the Rev. William deHart, pastor, in charge. Burial will be made at Springer cemetery.
The casket will be moved from the Hathaway funeral home Tuesday noon to the residence where friends may call.
