Oswald and Mrs. Birdie Bernhardt of Clifton, Mrs. Hallie Bertrand of Floydada, Mrs. Viola Eaton of Rogers, Ark., Ray Oswald of Mena, Ark., H. L. and Edward Oswald of Clifton, Mrs. Lelia Tucker of Orange, Mrs. Mabel Sonntag of Meridian. The mother of these children passed away June 19, 1911. He was married to Miss Emma Ingram, Oct. 15, 1912, and to this union were born Ingram Oswald of Waco, Mrs. Virginia Pendleton of Sarepta, La., and Mrs. Mollie Harwell of Morgan.

Mr. Oswald left this world Oct. 29, 1946, at the age of 89 years, nine months and 29 days. He spent the last year of his life at a convalescent home in Waco at which place he died.

The Oswald family was one of the early families to settle in Bosque County and did much for the development of the county. Mr. Oswald had many friends, many of whom have preceded him in death.

Besides his children he is survived by 27 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and two brothers, George Oswald of Clifton and Joe Oswald of Waco.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church Thursday, Oct. 31, at 2 o'clock. Rev. Floyd W. Thrash, pastor of the church, spoke comforting words to the bereaved and friends. Interment was in the Oswald Cemetery.
