He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Beatrice A. Rankin; one daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Loesch of Vincennes, one son, Edwin Elbert Rankin of Marion. N.C.; two sisters, Sarah Lee Hughes, and Jenny Bracy; one brother, Harold Rankin of Marion; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
