Cliff was born the son of Rene & Ruth Bryant Daniels. Shortly after Cliff's birth, his mother passed away. At this time, Cliff went to live with Rene's brother Frank and his wife Isadora (Dora) (Pierce) Daniels on a farm near Worthington, MN where he grew up. He attended school in Worthington and graduated from Worthington High School at the early age of 16 and went on to attend Worthington Junior College. Following junior college, Cliff took a job at the Worthington Creamery where he worked for a period of time. He then began farming in the Worthington area. During this time, Cliff met Elsie Brodale through his uncle Art Pierce. Cliff and Elsie were married on September 2, 1940 in Nobles County, MN. They made their home on a farm near Worthington. This union was blessed with four children: Chloe, Renee, Jeanne, and Timothy. When Cliff was not busy on the farm, he enjoyed fishing, picnicking with his family and nurturing vast gardens into fruitful abundance which he was delighted to share with his neighbors and friends. He enjoyed spending time writing meaningful letters to family members and friends. Following his retirement, Cliff and Elsie moved to Park Rapids, MN so that Cliff could enjoy the excellent fishing on the numerous lakes in the area. Being the environmentalist that he was, Cliff also took the time to plant many trees in the community and pick up trash that littered the roadsides. Cliff was a volunteer at the local food shelf for several years and donated gallons of blood to the Red Cross over the years. He had the special job of assisting his wife Elsie with her kitchen duties at the Riverside United Methodist Church where they worked as a team for many years. The community will remember Cliff for his generosity and giving spirit as he was always giving his friends and neighbors a part of his catch from a days fishing, produce from his abundant gardens and especially for his homemade caramel corn that he made and distributed every Christmas. Cliff took great pride in contributing to several charities that had great importance to him. His greatest joy in life was the time he was able to spend with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Cliff's siblings include Paul Daniels and one half-brother, Richard Daniels, & half-sister Patricia Clark.
Funeral services will be held from the Riverside United Methodist Church in Park Rapids, Revered Don Bird officiating.
