Son of Thomas C. Poor and his first wife Mary Elizabeth Williams, daughter of Thomas Williams. They had 3 children before Mary Elizabeth (Williams) Poor died, only William H. Poor lived to adulthood. He married one month before his father died on Apr 25 1874. William H. Poor married Mar 22, 1874 in Delaware Co. IN, Rebecca Jane 'Jennie' Wagoner (1856-1932), the daughter of William Wagoner and his wife Dianna. William H. Poor and his wife Rebecca Jane 'Jennie' Wagoner later divorced 1892/93. He received an inheritance from his maternal grandfather, Thomas Williams in 1872. $995.60 was given over to him from a trust held for him until he became of age. He is believed to have used this money to buy the 40 acres adjoining his father (Thomas C. Poor's) property.

Thomas C. Poor and wife Martha sold 40 of their 120 acres to son William H. Poor for $1200 on 9 Dec 1871.

There is a deed dated Feb 21, 1877 whereby William H. Poor (misspelled Pore on document) and Rebecca J Poor his wife sold to Dora Youngs for $1000 their 40 acres, described as: the southwest quarter of the southeast quarter of section 11 in twp 22 north, or range 10 east containing 40 acres more or less. An old plat map shows the property exactly and is labeled Wm H Poor.

Dec 19 1892 Rebecca J Poor filed for divorce, custody of their children, and alimony of $1000. Court document shows William H Poor to be 'summoned' to court to hear this case Jan 1 1893.

Francis 'Oscar' Poor b. Sept 1884 m.1 Mary Elizabeth Campbell and had a child Martha Diana Poor born 23 June 1908; Francis Oscar Poor married 2nd Florine 'Flo' Laura Flinn b. 1891. (Francis Oscar Poor began calling himself Oscar Francis Wagoner, taking his mothers maiden name). He was living in Hartford City, Blackford Co. IN in 1930. Oscar and Flo Wagoner had a child: Betty Wagoner born ca. 1918 IN. In 1930 they were living in Hartford City, Blackford Co IN. His daughter from his first marriage, Martha Diana Poor, married 27 June 1925 in Delaware Co IN, Bertram Paul Morgan born 15 Jan 1904 Gilman, IN died Nov 1977 Delaware Co IN. Martha Diana (Poor) Morgan died 10 Jan 1996 Delaware Co IN.

Son Francis Oscar Poor once again changed his name and died as Oscar F. Wagner (as opposed to Wagoner) and was buried with his 2nd wife Florine L. Wagner in Hartford City Cemetery, Blackford Co. IN.
