MRS. S. J. KNIGHT DIES AT REED CITY JULY 6
Mrs. Annetta Knight, a long time resident of Gladwin county, passed away last Tuesday at 4 p.m. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Louis Arkema, of Reed City. Born in Tilsonberg, Ontario July 6, 1874, and she was 69 years of age at the time of her death. In 1887 she came to Bay City and was married to S. J. Knight there on Sept. 18, 1895. To them were born nine children of whom three have preceded her in deawth. Mr. Knight died Feb. 25, 1939.
Mr. and Mrs.Knight came to Gladwin in 1898 and resided here a number of years. They later returned to Bay City where they lived a few years and in 1906 came to Highwood where they lived on their farm until Mr. Knight's death.
Mrs. Knight was a loving wife and faithful mother. She was a friend to all and her family, neighbors and friends will testify to a life that has been uplifting to every one with whom she came in contact.
Mrs. Knight was a member of the Free Methodist Church. Surviving are three sons, Wycliffe of the home farm; Clyde of Winegar; and George of Lansing. Three daughters, Mrs. Chester Bennett of Grand Ledge; Mrs. Forest Todd, of Lansing; and Mrs. Lewis Arkema of Reed City. 20 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
