OBITUARY:
KINGMAN, Ariz. - Richard Bell Hindorff, 85, died Saturday, July 27. He was born Oct. 6, 1916, in Fallbrook, the son of Eric and Pearl Bell Hindorff. He attended schools in the Fallbrook area, graduating from Fallbrook High School in 1933. After serving in the Army during World War II, he lived in Escondido and worked for the phone company for many years, retiring after 33 years of service. He most recently lived in Kingman, Ariz. He was a member of Fallbrook's 2002 Pioneer of the Year Family. He is survived by his wife of three years, Marie Hindorff of Kingman; two sons, Clinton Hindorff of La Mesa and Alan Hindorff of El Cajon; two daughters, Anita Cook of Greenville and Gloria Hindorff of El Cajon; a brother, Jerald Hindorff of Hemet; four sisters, Velma Sierras, Margaret Ray, Laura Hindorff, all of Fallbrook, and Frances Driggs of Cushing, Okla.; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Graveside services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Oak Hill memorial Park in Escondido. (North County Times, Tuesday, August 6, 2002)
