Mrs. Forbes grew up in Frankewing, TN and was the daughter of Thomas Albert Storey and Daisy Bell Harwell Storey. She was the wife of Cowan Pitt Forbes (married 22 April 1939)and mother of Nancy Jane Forbes Mitchell. When Mr. Forbes suffered a severe stroke in October 1965, she provided constant care for over 18 years until his death in 1984.
