Funeral services were conducted Saturday at St. James Episcopal Church in Westernport, Md., for Leo C. Beckman, 57, of Horse Rock Road, Westernport, who died Wednesday at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, Md. The Rev. William Davis officiated and burial was in Philos Cemetery. Boal Funeral home was in charge of arrangements. Born in Luke, Md., he was a son of the late Courtney Beckman and Stella (Gauer) Beckman. Mr. Beckman was a laboratory technician at Westvaco; a Navy veteran of World War II; a member of St. James Episcopal Church and the vestry; Victory Post 155, American Legion, Westernport; Queens Point Post 5775, Veterans of Foreign Wars, McCoole, Md. and Moose Lodge 662, Keyser. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Thelma (Fazenbaker) Beckman; one daughter, Miss Pam Beckman at home; two brothers, Willis Beckman, McCoole, and Frank Beckman, Cedar Rapids, Iowa and one sister, Mrs. Mabel Ternent, Lonaconing, Md.
