Mrs. Donald (Helen) M. Petitgoue, 75, of 105 Bouthillier St., Galena, died Sunday, June 15, 1986 at Finley Hospital in Dubuque, Iowa.
Mrs. Petitgoue was born in Davenport, Iowa on March 7, 1911, and was the daughter of William and Minnie Heller Beadle. She spent all her life in this area. She was employed for several years at Burgess Battery Factory in Galena, and retired from Valves and Controls at Hanover in 1973.
Mrs. Petitgoue was a member of St. Michael's Church, the Altar and Rosary Society and the Catholic Daughters of America.
Survivors include her husband, Donald; one son, Jerry of Cuba City, Wis.; one daughter, Mrs. John (Carol) Dotzel of Stillman Valley; five grandchildren; two brothers, Donald and Pat (Thomas) Beadle, both of Galena; and seven sisters, Mrs. Boise (Frances) Murphy, Vera Weinan, Florence Bautsch and Joanne Foecking, all of Galena, Catherine Seelye of Harvard, Mrs. Sam (Virginia) Armstrong of Ft. Dodge, Iowa, and Lucille Rusboldt of Michigan City, Ind.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Howard in infancy and William Jr. in 1954.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, June 17 at St. Michael's Church in Galena with Monsignor Raymond Wahl officiating at the 10:30am Mass.
Burial was in the Church cemetery.
Casket bearers were Bill Murphy, John Dotzel, Mark Petitgoue, Pat Beadle, Wayne Wienan, and Dan Rusboldt.
Furlong Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
