Second Lieutenant Apodaca served with the 726th Bomb Squadron, 451st Bomb Group at Fairmont Army Air Base, Geneva, Nebraska.

Bombardier aboard B-24H Liberator #41-29181.

While enroute to the Stanton Bombing Range, his airplane crashed, due to a structural failure, five miles southwest of Wayne, Nebraska.
