Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, Rex Hatch McIff, passed away at the age of 74, of cancer, November 22, 1990 at his home in Sterling, Utah. He will be missed by all who love him.

Born November 11, 1916 in Panguitch, Utah, son of Otto E. and Lillian Hatch McIff. He married Dona Denison November 11, 1938 in Sterling, Utah; marriage solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple May 26, 1939. He was a lifelong member of the LDS Church, presently a High Priest in the Sterling Ward. Currently serving as a Board Member on the Sterling Town Council. He attended public schools in Panguitch and Gunnison. He worked in scouting in his earlier years. He loved the outdoors, especially his farm.

Survived by his wife, Sterling; children, Mrs. George (Dorothy) Dawson, Riverton; Gary R. McIff, Bennion; Paul D. McIff, West Valley City; Roger M. McIff, West Jordan; and LaDonna M. Hansen, Sterling; 19 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Eldon McIff, Sterling; Mrs. Edwin (Elaine) Heaps, Mona; Lyle H. McIff, Tucson, Ariz.; Mrs. Hubert (Mildred) Jensen, Salina; Mrs. Fred (Beverly) Healy, American Fork; and Florence M. Jacobson, Salt Lake City.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 26, 1 p.m., in the Sterling Ward Chapel. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer-Turner Funeral Home in Salina, Sunday evening, 6-8 p.m. and Monday, at the church in Sterling, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Burial, will be in the Sterling Cemetery.
