SMITHVILLE - Services for Ulrich Amstutz, 78, of Smithville were to be conducted today at 2:30 p.m. in the Smithville Brethren Church of which he was a member by Rev. Vernon Grisso. Burial will be in Smithville Cemetery with the Frey & Gresser funeral home of Orrville in charge.
Mr. Amstutz, a retired farmer, died Monday in the residence of a heart ailment. Born in Sterling, he had resided in Smithville four years.
He leaves his widow, Mrs. Mary Hartzler Amstutz whom he married 56 years ago; four daughters, Mrs. Beulah Boss of Ashland, Mrs. Vida Swainhart of Akron, Mrs. Estella MacMillan of Miami, Fla., and Mrs. Ruth Karten of St. Joseph, Mich.; a son, Harry Amstutz of Smithville; a sister, Mrs. Ella Guittar of Canton; a brother, Fred Amstutz of Barberton; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
