William migrated to Kentucky from South Carolina. He served as a constable in Caldwell County, Kentucky and was also a surveyor and a large landowner. He was the husband of Gooley Attaway Morse and was the son of Ebenezer and Agnes (Spiller) Morse.Son of Ebenezer and Agness Spiller Morse of Prince William County, VA (1740-1775); Spartanburg County, SC (1775-1805); and Caldwell County, KY (1805-1818)

Husband of 1st. Goley Attaway, 2nd. Susanna E. Borders.

He and Goley left Spartanburg County, SC for Caldwell County, Kentucky via Warren County, Kentucky. They bought their first land in Caldwell County, Kentucky in 1808.

The grave is located on the old Garnel Pidcock Farm, across the field from the residence. Undoubtedly, William and Goley Morse lived at this farm. In 2000 the farm was owned by James Shelby Carner. The farm in on Brown Hill Road (aka Obrion Road) about 2 miles west of Farmersville, Kentucky. As soon as you cross the creek, an abandoned house will be on your right and an abandoned barn on your left. WITH PERMISSION FROM CURRENT LAND OWNER, park at the house and walk across the street between the creek (on your left) and the pond (on your right surrounded by trees). Graves are ahead in the tree line about 1/2 mile. APPROXIMATE GPS coordinates are 87.92 degrees x 37.18 degrees (this is only a guess).
