Lois Jane Witter, 61, 111 22nd St., SW, Minot, N.D., died Saturday, July 27, 1996.
The former Lois Jane Dysert,the daughter of S. Woodrow and Maude E. Weaver Dysert, was born July 16, 1935, in Shippensburg.
She was raised and educated in Shippensburg and graduated from Shippensburg High School in 1953.
On April 6, 1954, in Shippensburg, she married David E. Witter. They lived in New York, Spain, South Dakota and North Dakota while her husband was in the U. S. Air Force. Over the past 27 years, she has worked in financial management at the different bases and has attended various schools and seminars. At the time of her death, she was the chief of Funds and Inventory Control of the 5th SVS/NAFFMB (Non-Appropriated Funds Financial Management Branch) at the Minot Air Force Base, N.D.
She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Minot; the Golden Link Chapter 14 of the Order of Eastern Star in Rapid City,S.D.; the AARP and the National Assoiation of Retired Federal Employees.
She is survived by her husband, David Witter, Minot, N.D.; four sons, D. Michael Witter, Colorado Springs, Colo., Jeffrey W. Witter, Minot, N.D., Scott E. Witter, Norwood, Minn., and Gregory A Witter, Burlington, N.D.; one daughter, Merry Jo Theilen, Burlington, N.D.; eight grandchildren; her mother, Maude E. Dysert, Shippensburg; and one sister, JoAnn Dysert Casper, Wyo.
The funeral services and burial will be held in North Dakota.
Memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society or Christ Lutheran Church, Minot, N.D.
