Diana Lee Peck, 69, died Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at her home in Holbrook.

A lifelong Holbrook resident, she was born to Bill and Edna Fischer on July 15, 1941. She attended Holbrook schools and for many years operated Fischer's Garage and Fischer's Towing with her husband, Jim. She joined the Elks ladies auxiliary, becoming president, and later became the first woman admitted to full membership at the Holbrook lodge. She remained a member of Elks B.P.O.E. No. 2450 until her death.

She enjoyed collecting, gardening and sewing, especially quilting, and was a longtime member of the Dusty Desert Quilt Guild.

She is survived by sons Steve Peck (Betty) of Holbrook and Jon Peck (Sharri) of Appling, Ga.; daughter Devy Kuhse (Pat) of Joseph City; brother George Fischer (Sandy) of Black Canyon City; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; dozens of nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws; as well as four beloved cats.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Peck of Holbrook, and brothers Bill Jr. and Howard Fischer, both of Holbrook.

A service will be at 4 p.m. Monday, March 7, at the Holbrook Elks Lodge, and she will be laid to rest in the Holbrook Cemetery following the service.
