She is the daughter of Captain Richard Chenoweth born 1734-died 1802 and Margaret "Peggy" McCarty born 1751, who were in the Chenoweth Massacre July 17, 1789. Capt Richard Chenoweth is one of the founders of Louisville and was in George Rogers Clark's Va Militia. Margaret "Peggy" McCarty was scalped during the massacre. She played dead and survived.
Ann was born 1792 Jefferson County KY and was born after the Massacre.
